I set out to photograph every crack at the memorial
2016-2018The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin is made up of nearly 3,000 concrete slabs varying in height. The vague-ness of the design and it’s risk of crumbling in onto itself motivated my performative action seeking to photograph every crack I saw combing through the rows of concrete. I was hunched over and guided by my camera, following an unreasonable path through other bodies to find as many hairline cracks I could until I reached exhaustion.Category
